Professor of Practice & Dir. of Professional Tennis Managment, University of Florida Business and leadership educator, with a specialization in educating Directors of Racquet Sports

About this speaker

Kim teaches all courses in UF’s Sport Management program that equip Directors of Racquet Sports to understand and master the business of club leadership. She was a top-ranked Gator tennis player in the 1980s, earning NCAA All-America honors and winning 3 SEC championships. She’s been a certified tennis pro for 35 years, leading programs at multiple country clubs and racquet clubs, including 10 years as Director of Kansas City Junior Tennis League. After years of coaching on court, her more recent focus has been performance psychology to equip leaders and coaches to build environments where athletes and employees thrive.  

Kim has a Master’s in education from University of Missouri, specializing in Positive Coaching Psychology, and a Bachelors in Finance from UF. Other certifications earned include designation as a “Mental Game Coach” from Peak Performance Sports, a “Mental Toughness Specialist” from the Human Performance Institute and an “Executive in Leadership” from Notre Dame University. She is USPTA Elite and PTR Professional. Kim resides in Leawood, Kansas, with her husband, Jack. They have six married children and 16 grandchildren ranging in age from college to newborn.
